This outdoor shooting range threatens the surrounding land owners' safety, drinking water, and investment. This has the potential to ruin their lives on this beautiful land. This range is too close to the Cumberland trail. This range threatens the water quality with run off into surrounding water. With lead contamination in the water from ammo that Chattanooga is already dealing with, you would think that the owner of this establishment would know better. Promises are being made that EPA standards will be kept, but what is the reality of responsible regulation and enforcement for this range on this beautiful, pristine land? I hope this range is not allowed to destroy this area.

We love this land and the peace and serenity it offers the surrounding residents and visitors who come to hike. I too am concerned about water pollution in the groundwater and don't believe another gun range is needed in this area. I am positive there is a better location for this gun range than Retro Hughes Road. Thank you.

Gun ranges should be kept indoors. Neighbors of an outdoor range (even if fairly far away) will never have a moment of peace from the noise. Property values will be wiped out. Neighbors will no longer be able to enjoy being outside on beautiful days, Lead contamination will be possible if not likely.

Isn't it getting old, having guys who don't live in your neighborhood come in and rezone it for things that lower the property values and quality of life? It's about time citizens took their neighborhoods back, their neighborhood associations back, their legislative boards back from the good old boys.

I'm an avid shooter and long distance hiker, and feel that shooting near the trail would disturb the rare natural beauty the trail offers.

I love this area and the quiet peaceful environment. A shooting range would adversely affect this area while also placing many near by neighbors (me) at risk from wild shots from rifles.

As a gun owner and enthusiast myself, I don't understand how this got through... This is seems stupidly unsafe. And as a hiker as well I would hate to be hiking and hear rounds be constantly fired off, you'd scare off all the wildlife and anyone who might be a first time hiker or has never heard a gunshot before...

Old growth hemlocks are the only reason trout exist in Georgia. They already have enough trouble from the hemlock woolly adelgid and beetles.

There is already a shooting range along 27 only a 10 minute drive from this location. There is no need for another shooting range next to the state park. It is completely unnecessary and will ruin the pristine feel of the Cumberland state park trails.
