My opposition is not against guns. I oppose the range alongside Retro Hughes Road disrupting the existing property owner's RIGHT OF PRIVACY.

I am a gun owner and I enjoy target shooting but I would not want to place a range in an area that would disturb the residents and wildlife.

My wife and I have 4 precious grandchildren that live on Bakewell mountain on Retro Hughes Road. I can't imagine how constant gunshots would traumatize them, endanger their lives, and severely limit their ability to run around in the woods where their family lives peacefully on 40 acres of land.

It is not reasonable to place a shooting range near families with small children. It will make the children feel like they are growing up in a war zone. There are multiple families that have built and are building homes in this area that oppose the range and they should not have to endure this type of noise and hardship.

Once it's passes there is no way to stop or close it in the future. Tenn has a law to protect shooting ranges no matter what happens.

To close to homes for noise. Also increased traffic through the neighborhood. I vote no.

Seems like it is to close to the general public. Should be in a more secluded area.

I'm shocked it's even a possibility. Parks are where people go for peace and relaxation. Gunfire is totally the opposite. This from someone who believes in gun ownership..

Let's preserve our land for the enjoyment of climbing, camping, enjoying nature, especially when kids, and families are outside across the street. Shooting guns that can harm others, noise, Not safe or good for the environment. Thank you for considering others that nearby.

Most of life is filled with noise, clutter, and unwanted intrusions. It is difficult to find quiet natural spaces where we can refresh and renew. Nothing spoils a nature hike like continuous gun fire.

I am appalled that Hamilton County could conceivably approve the "rape" of this beautiful area. Shame-Shame!

The people who live in this community do not want this. And neither to the people who use the Cumberland Trail.
