Say NO to SB 513 Deer Farming

Please don't make this huge mistake and tell me that your big dear farming operation are lining the pockets of you and the legislators.

Signing this bill puts the entire deer herd in North Carolina in jeopardy for the benefit of a few political cronies. I hope you will not allow such blatant partisanship by a few obviously biased legislators.

As a native North Carolinian and a wildlife biologist I am deeply troubled by this bill and implore Governor McCrory to listen to the reasonable voices of sportsmen and scientists around our state who are asking him to say NO to this legislation.

I urge you to veto SB 513 and remand it back to the legislature until the deer farming provision is deleted.

I do not want deer farming moved to the NCDA & CS. Deer farming should not be allowed to import any deer species into NC. It very well could be a determent to our native whitetail deer.

The risk of CWD is not worth the reward.

Deer farming has been a disaster in PA and Ohio, please do not allow it here in my home state of NC.

PLEASE do not pass this bill. For the sake of our NC deer herd & current / future generations of hunters. Please let's be forward thinking & proactive on this issue and not regretful & reactive.

Please do not sign this bill! To help preserve what little deer population we have left! I have a forth of the deer we used to have on my property alone! All of our neighbors are the same way! You don't see nearly as many deer in the evening fields as we used to! Protect our NC resources first! We already lost the film industry, don't flush our wildlife down the drain as well.

Dear Governor McCorey, Please veto raising whitetail deer for profit in NC. It is unconstitutional for the legislature to usurp power from the executive/(administrative) branch of the government by taking away the authority of the NC Wildlife Resources Commission to manage wild animals.
