Human beings do not need to domesticate anymore animals. It never works out well for the animals and always makes the meat less healthy for humans. Please don't do this..

Why are we doing this in our state when other states have tried deer farms only to have deer diseases increase? Makes no sense to this Republican!

The White Tailed Deer was once nearly eliminated from the Eastern US. Through the diligent work of groups like NCWF it was brought back from near extinction. Please don't allow a small group of greedy big bucks people erase all of the good work that was done 60 years ago by a very dedicated group of individuals. CWD is a killer.

This is the reason why Independents like me despise politics and decisions based on politics. Why do we have game biologists? Ask them if this is a good idea to allow NC to "copy Texas".

how about leaving the deer alone in our state so we can enjoy our hunting lands and let them farm something else!

The deer population in NC is already well established without deer farming.

Will provide for a disaster and allow a few politicians and henchmen to make a lot of money at citizen's expense and impord disease.

I hope Tom Smith (former Food Lion CEO) can give the legislators Jobs on his Cervid Farm in Rowan County as a few will need employment after 2016 elections. As a life long Republican I am very disappointed in some of the legislation coming out of this General Assembly Session. Why not have the House and Senate at least get a knowledgeable biologist from our Wildlife Commission to educate them rather than let a "Special Interest Group" influence their vote with money peddling promises? Please veto this SB513!
