I would not pay to park in Borth y Gest if pay and display was introduced. The signage etc would also spoil the idyllic look of the harbour area.

This will have a major impact on Borthy Y Gest and all the residents.councils should not be able to force their will on local people who oppose the idea so strongly.

One of the delights of going to this unspoilt bay is the fact that there are no parking restrictions.

I am against the proposed charges for parking at Borth Y Gest. It will mean more parking at the kerbside, more congestion, make matters even more difficult for homeowners and carers because of parking difficulties. It will affect local trade and the ticket machines will spoil the view forever.

This proposal will discourage not encourage spending tourists and visitors to frequent the local shops and restaurants. This is not a revenue generator but will DESTROY the local trade. What are you playing at Gwynedd Council?

Parking metres will be detrimental to business's trading in Borth y gest....and not only that, why change the fact that at the moment it is such a pleasure to park for locals and visitors.

How short sighted are Gwynedd council, greed seems to be their motto. Look what happened to Dolgellau when they put parking charges up. Much less visitors now. Leave Borth y Gest alone. Look in your own pockets Gwynedd council, cut your cloth there.

I strongly object on behalf of the locals, their village will be greatly disrupted should these charges be passed. The side streets will become congested and the local residents will become increasingly annoyed at the visiting general public. I am a visitor from Hampshire and I love Borth-y-gest and whilst I would be very happy to contribute to an honesty box I don't believe it should become a mandatory charge. Lots of people just come for a quick cup of coffee and would be happy to pay 50p for a ticket, they may find a higher charge for a long stay ticket too much to stomach. Please don't inflict something that costs a lot of money to install and police when things work well as they are now. Change is not always a god thing. Think of your local residence first.

I object to this plan. I am the manager of a local outdoor education Centre who regularly brings groups of children to this venue. We use minibuses to transport the children. We regularly visit the café bringing trade to the village. If these charges are introduced we will visit this venue much less often in the future. I believe this is a short sighted plan, ill thought through, without consideration of the effect on local residents and businesses. Please do not go forward with this proposal.
