This small village will be congested with people parking on the roads to get free parking

The introduction of parking charges will without doubt be negative to borth y gest.
My family has owned a property directly facing the bay for over 20 years. In recent years you can clearly see an increase in numbers of cars parking both in the car park as well as on the road in front of the properties.
By introducing the parking charge, visitors will surely just park on the 'front'. How are residents going to park close to their properties during peak times?
If restrictions are made to prevent this, giving visitors no other option than to pay for parking, numbers of visitors enjoying the bay will without doubt reduce.
Why change something that has worked perfectly well for decades?
Why don't they charge say £1 for driving onto black rock sands instead. Over the summer this will provide the council with a huge income.

I ive in Conwy and car park charges always affect locals more adversely than occasional visitors.

Being a resident at Greenacres from March to November and use the car park frequently, bringing in car park charges will impact considerably on the local people and that is just not fair.

Such a measure is likely to have a detrimental effect on the area for residents. Tourists keen to find free parking are unlikely to have respect for residents & their driveways.

I believe that a pay and display in Borth y Gest car park will cause parking issues for residents and holiday makers. Parking in the summer is already difficult and this will only add to that difficulty.

I share the concern that charging for car parking will lead to more on street parking resulting in more congestion having a negative effect on what is a lovely village

Parking charges will cause congestion in side roads by people who don't want to pay the charges.

I think its a terrible decision, i go there for my holidays several times per year, along with friends and spend money in the area, if charges are brought in then i will stop visiting which means less tourism and income to the area...very bad idea so dont do it !

Can only echo previous comments. Why spoil a beautiful bay? Surely sufficient parking fees are collected from nearby Black Rock sands

I am a seasonal caravan pitch owner in my second year at Tydyn Llwyn and the beach at borth-y-gest and free parking is a significant part in my decision to spend most weekends and my annual leave in the area. To introduce parking charges will reduce my visits to the area if not altogether when it comes to renewal time.

What an annoyance for people who live in the village and who will have nowhere else to park! Will arrangements be made for them to have permits? Sounds like an exercise going to cost a lot of money with little return.
The free parking encourages visitors, helping the local economy.

I think that charging for parking in Borth-Y-Gest will encourage people to park in the surrounding streets which are often narrow and should be left for the residents and holiday lets of this lovely, tranquil place.

As a regular visitor to this idyllic little bay, I fully support the local residents who wish to maintain the parking facility and the ambiance of borth y gest

The on street parking brought about would not justify the income generated.

I use the car park on visits to the area, and possibly if I was to pay I would not visit, therefore the small businesses would loose out. I also holiday in the area occasionally and have to use the car park so as not to interfere with the locals.

I would not pay to park in Borth y Gest. It would be detrimental to the local residents and traders. The signage would spoil the picturseque waterside.
