Summerfield is getting the cart before the horse. This town does not have the infrastructure to handle this scale development. Our schools, roads, and fire protection cannot be met yet.

We moved out here for a more rural feel. We found an affordable house in a great neighborhood! It can be done

Why do we spend enormous amounts of town money to develop a Comprehensive Plan, and then simply disregard the recommendations? One of the main outcomes of the finalized plan is that Summerfield retain its small town character. I urge everyone to read the plan and then contact Council members and ask that they honor those recommendations. You can find a copy of the comprehensive plan here: http://tinyurl.com/SFLD-comp-plan. Please help reject the Planned Development/re-zoning request!!!

Why have no studies been done to examine the impact on our water, soil, traffic, etc.? Why have meetings been conducted with the developer and town employees in secret? This is unacceptable!

NO - this would be the beginning of the end of our quaint, quiet, rural community.

We moved to summerfield because of the great schools, low crime rate and quaint old school charm. We love the "country" feel with a convenient location. This is such a great community with wonderful people. We hope the zoning never changes. Sometimes things done in the name of progress, aren't really for the greater good.

I want to keep my vehicle-transportation, large-lot home at the end of our street.

No more empire building. Pay attention to the available property on 220. The old antique mall is sitting empty now for months. Look at community eyesores and enforce previously enacted ordinances.

We moved to Summerfield to be away from "city" living and congestion. We've lived here for 15 years and absolutely love it. These proposed changes would completely change our landscape and our way of living in Summerfield. Most people that are in Summerfield moved here because of what it is now. Please DO NOT implement these proposed changes.
