Insane and too rushed more thought and consensus with stakeholders/citizens should have been done also proper feasibility studies done not to mention the double taxation (all other concerns highlighted in the petition are shared by me)

I support parking meters for Georgetown, Guyana. However, I object to the process taken to procure the company and meters. Also, the 80/20 % split is not equitably fair to the government.

Working class citizens can't afford the basic necessities in life therefore how will they afford to pay parking meter fees. This is another indirect tax burden on the citizens.

Too much additional expenses too quickly. This shouldn't have come at the same time as the increase of VAT items especially as there is no increase in salaries

Parking meters are just putting pressure on the citizens of Guyana giving them extra expenses which they are already incurring from the 14% VAT placed on almost every basic necessity.

I am signing this petition because not only has the government comiditized parking in an area that needed more parking slots, but they're also giving away 80% of the monies earned to Mexico - the origin of this Smart City Solutions fiasco.
