The logistics of transporting trash from the furthest reaches of the county to one specific location is going to create more trash, blowing out of the backs of trucks and vehicles all over the county. In addition, unscrupulous organizations will likely just illegally dump their trash in rural locations. This is absolutely a disaster of a plan.

This law will cause an upheaval in bad reviews on the county since we will be late getting cleans completed. This is unreasonable and unjust

We have several properties in the area, and we noticed the economy is been struggling, talking to other Cabin Owner‘s. We don’t believe this is a wise decision, especially the way the economy is going. Charging the cleaners the funds will make us charge more for those coming in an already struggling market.

We need the county to start demonstrating the increase in taxes on vacation rentals isn’t just a price gouge and it will hurt the local economy if homeowners start taking the hits harder

Bad idea, major inconvenience to hardworking cleaning services. Garbage is garbage and it shouldn't matter whose it is. There's plenty of tax dollars generated from the rental cabins already.

With all due respect Mayor, get a real job. You might actually get a perspective that would benefit the performance of your duties. And don't start with the 'when I worked, back in my day'
It's a different time of day! This will be a nightmare, wake up and see that...please.

Plus Having 1 dump site will not allow cleaners to complete their jobs due to wait times and/or travel time from particular rentals.

With that kind of Tax increase, there should be enough funds to purchase the Dumpsters needed at each property or free access to a landfield for disposal, that is easily accessed. Or increase their salaries to accommodate the extra steps and time it takes to dispose of the garbage.. I could not imagine being part of a "Cleaning Service" and know that it would be up to me, to transport & properly dispose of (4-6) + large bags of garbage, 5-7 days a week..
Not to include the dangers of handling, each of these bags multiple times..
(1) Remove from can
(2) can-to outside and to your vehicle [Hopefully A Truck]
(3) Truck to Dump-site...
** Are there any accommodations for the extra mileage and the extra safety measures that should be in place to secure these garbage bags and the appropriate Safety Supplies, (gloves, masks and safety glasses) that's truly needed to handle these bags?
Imagine if it were you would you want to clean 3 x Cabins a day... Removing (2xbags) each place, totaling 6 bags =(18x) you handle a bag of garbage to get to dumpsite? I would use all the precautions that were available to me.. ** My heart goes out to you all, with my sincere sympathy & empathy because I know from personal experience, that any Resort or Cabin, I've ever stayed in... they all use those flimsy, see-through garbage bags, that rip upon removal from the Trash Can.. God Bless you all & I pray you are accommodated immediately and without injury or illness. Prayers go out

Is cleaners don't have the extra money to pay these fees we also have to make sure all our cabins are done by 4 if there turn overs so then trying to drive to dump before the trash dump closes is impossible at times so thats why we go to different dumps in between we are just trying to work to provide for our families we can't keep working if we are going to keep getting charged for things

For cleaners to drive to a centralized location and wait in line will take too much time especially on busy days. As well as one large cabin can produce enough trash to take up multiple trips.

I am signing this petition to this absurd rule as they have not taken in consideration of the working class that this would affect and more seems like all they want to do is punish cleaners making them pay each load $10 -$30 absolutely ridiculous!!!! It's not a cleaners fault tourists create trash! Without cleaners no tourism which is what this town thrives on! Not to mention the minimum time they have to turn these cabins now ur tacking on travel time, way to make things even more difficult for someone who is already busting their hump to get it done! Please walk a mile in someone else's shoes and see their side before getting so rash! Now on to pass the charges to the guests seriously people can't afford to eat and travel with such high inflation and getting bookings at a decent rate is impossible anymore people just can't afford more charges added on to their stay they eventually are just going to stop coming here! to expensive!
