I'm an owner who lives out of state. Please allow us more time to find a solution

As a cabin owner renting my property out, my taxes have been scheduled to raise 45%. FOURTY-FIVE PERCENT. The proposed service business fee schedule and limited dump site will be yet another cost passed on to the owners through raised fees by services. In addition to yet another cost to the owners, we recognize that more cleaners will be illegally dumping their trash off in bins at other cabins...forcing innocent owners to employ another service to dispose of the illegally deposited trash. This regulation will encourage theft of services and it is heinous that you would foist this consequence upon the cabin owners. We bring tourists, who spend money on food, entertainment and memorabilia...to thank us, you burden us with excess taxes, more fees that you hide behind the guise of a "charge to services" and most certainly theft of services, which will burden us with fees to remove the trash deposited in the bins we provide as a service to "our guests"...not "their guests". The onerous burdens placed on the vacation rental owners by ill-conceived regulations is unconscionable. Please rethink this disastrous plan.

If you aren’t careful you are all quickly going to bite off the hand that feeds you. Between the property tax reclassification and being charged to simply dispose of trash owners are being squeezed at a time when there economic headwinds and demand in the area is suppressed. We are not all getting rich here. Contrary to popular belief.

In light of huge property tax increase, cabin owner cleaners should have access to dispose of trash properly.

We shouldn’t have to pay to dispose of the rentals trash. We don’t make much money as it is and that would mean we would make even less. We work way too hard for that!

A fleet of salt trucks wouldn't hurt either!

The county does not provide trash service, it should not be charging people who are already doing their work for them. The county should provide a dumping area at not cost since the service of picking up the trash is being taken care of for you.

Please do not charge cleaning businesses for dumping their trash. Do you not make enough on tourism as it is, why do you feel the need to do this your local businesses!

There should be no reason us cleaners should have to pay to throw away trash when we have to pay for our own cleaning supplies and everything and the trash isn't even ours so if anything charge the guest

We are a tourist community. it does not seem fair to charge the cleaners for doing their job. why should a cleaner pay a fine to dispose of the tourists trash. please think about that.

This puts an undo burden on these companies. The county does not provide universal trash service, and now want to charge to have us haul away our own trash! Unfair.

Hosts are already nickel and dimed with fees, tax increases, guest requests and more.

I own 2 cabins. My housekeepers are stressed. How can they travel a long distance with trash and still have time to clean, not to mention the cost to owners.

No additional fees! You are going to lose income by forcing people to leave the area due to excessive fees and taxes.

Please stop the taxing on the businesses that generate income for this community! Please allow the cleaners to continue to use waste centers.

I am a cabin cleaner I have been one since I have moved here to Tennessee in 2010 it is 2023 now so that means for 13 years I have been doing my company in my line of work for cleaning cabins for vacation rentals to people to come enjoy the beautiful smoky mountains in Tennessee like I did before I moved up here these convenient centers that allow us to empty our garbage from the cabins that these guest use when they come to see our state it’s very convenient and having to drive all the way out of the way to go Dump garbage somewhere is a real inconvenience. I know a lot of us appreciate all these convenient centers around Sevierville pigeon Forge Gatlinburg area. They are highly needed.

Please consider other options other than imposing more debt and stress on cleaners and owners and allow our community to continue to thrive and stay as clean as possible. Many people think owners and cleaners make a killing. This is simply not true. They make an average of $20,000 - $30,000 per year. It would be a tragedy to impose more debt upon them, and would in turn cut revenues and tourists down by a large amount. Thank you
