After huge property tax increase now you won't supply garbage service? What's up?

I think this will put a hardship on use as cabin owners with the taxes and insurance going uo cause they reclassfied the cabins.

I am writing to you as a cabin owner of three properties in Sevier county. Please use the extra funds you are now collecting through property taxes to cover the addition fees you’re wanting to collect from our cabin cleaners. This additional Fee will over burden them, also it will cause more cabins to not empty trash as frequently causing more bear incidents, trash thrown into the wrong places, etc. Please reconsider and vote ‘no’ to the proposed fees given to our cleaners at the dump. Thank you.

The people that this will hit hardest are hard working residents of Tennessee who can least afford it.

I truly believe it would cause more harm than good if we are all located to use one area

Don't we already pay taxes on trash removal by paying taxes

They should have their own drop off dumpster at a certain location in the county besides residents local dump.

All this is going to do is cause a bigger problem with the trash you're going to see more and more of it on the side of the roads get ready for that

This change will NOT contribute to the garbage/litter problem we already have. We have 5-7 bears come across our property every day and if owners are incentivized to dump their garbage the in the woods, it will have catastrophic effects on the forest and the community.

Having convenient center open to us dropping off trash that comes from Sevier county would be very helpful. I personally have to take the garbage 3 counties over to dispose of it and it’s a hassle

As a homeowner, I fully endorse this concept, which will help maintain the cleanliness of our community and ensure that it remains an important tourist destination, in addition to creating favorable working logistics for our cleaners.

I agree. Cleaners should not be charged.

I own 4 properties in Sevierville and contribute significantly in the form of taxes to this county and city.

Please help us protect the beauty of Sevier County by making it easy to dispose of refuse and use a fair and balanced approach to taxes/fees.

I own three properties in Sevier County for which our cleaner uses a county trash convenience center. I pay property taxes, and starting this year will be paying substantially more than in the past, and I believe these taxes should include waste disposal for my properties, regardless of whether it is me or my cleaner who actually brings the trash. Easy trash disposal options for short term rentals is a critical need for maintaining the beauty of our county and the flow of tourists that bring in revenue. If cleaners are being charged for trash, those fees will come back to the owners, many of whom are already struggling to break even since the covid boom has ended, and who already have had a substantial increase in county fees this year. In addition, many cleaners would not utilize the paid facility, and there would be a substantial increase in illegal dumping throughout the county. Please consider using the increased property tax funds to create a fee-free arrangement that will work for all stakeholders.

Cabins close to Gburg are too far from the central dump for the cleaners to haul garbage to. What will end up happening is garbage being dumped in the woods.
