This is a terrible idea and an accident waiting to happen.

It will cause a lot of problems for traffic. Back up's wrecks an speeding to pass other car's before they get to the area. PLEASE don't do it.

As a cyclist I can tell you this is a disaster waiting to happen. I would never ride on 41 even with a bike path due to heavy traffic. Bikes can bypass this on parallel streets. As a 31 year resident I can also attest that though there isn’t room, more lanes are needed not less. VERY BAD IDEA!!!

Remember when traffic backed up from Davis Blvd to Goodlette because there weren’t enough lanes to get the traffic to flow smoothly? And now, it’s suggested we go back to those days. It will not only choke traffic, once again, but businesses will suffer also! Ludicrous idea.....

It’s a bottleneck of cars everyday and all evening with six lanes. It’s a state highway, for goodness sake. Foot traffic and bike lanes are not a first consideration for a major highway.

out lights at each intersection and time them so traffic moves down 41. This would help everyone

In my opinion, this project should not even be considered unless the city wants absolute gridlock, more accidents and more traffic noise in town. This narrowing will directly impact my commute and every other trip, every day as I live very near the northern point of this proposal, additionalIy, I can almost guarantee that I would not walk or bike down us 41 when there are much calmer and more beautiful old Naples routes available. You can say you will make it beautiful and friendly, but to me, fancy expensive biking boulevards sandwiched between a parking lot of traffic does nothing to improve our town.

please do not make 41 any smaller. During the season you're going to punish folks that live here all year long. I saw what happened when you cut one lane near this area for over a week to fix pipes/road. it was crazy!!!!!

I am totally against any narrowing of 41 in any capacity in the city limits. The bottle-neck resulting would be an other mess for the older population including me, My office is on 6th Ave. North and 41

An emphatic NO

I believe 41 should be anything but narrowed. If narrowed, with how quick Naples is expanding, and the population growing, it would be hectic and cause even more wrecks because more people would be rushing and weaving through traffic.
