Say No To Muirtack Quarry

The family home of 42 years is in this area and there has been a significant increase in traffic over the years and it is no longer a quiet road as it is without having lorries frequent it. The roads are not wide enough for cars to pass one another in places let alone lorries. And these lorries di not drive at suitable speed and treat any narrow roads like they are still in quarry grounds and drive very selfishly using speed and size to their advantage. Taking traffic onto the Toll is an absolutely ridiculous idea as there are serious traffic issues there as it is without taking more lorries onto it. We use this junction daily and see many near missed due to the situation of it and amount of traffic and drivers misjudging and taking chances, and driving at speed so adding more will cause more issues and accidents. Muirtack is a rural farming area and farm traffic use these roads and should be given priority over large companies who wish to make profit rather than a livelihood.

Keep up the good work!! If the courts don’t uphold the same decision as last time, it just makes a mockery of the system.

No need for this, hope the council blocks it again and people who live here (for a reason) can enjoy the peace, quite and lovely countryside

It would be a travesty on so many levels to allow a quarry in this area. Hopefully creating a new road right next to an accident black spot will not make a difference in an application that has already been refused.

With this being previously rejected it is mind boggling that this situation keeps arising. Ludicrous plans.

Been rejected twice! End of! Never mind a war of attrition! Leave the ecosystems alone!
