Our community deserves the right to be consulted before such a dramatic change is introduced to an area with so many schools and a community centre. There is also a centre that cares for severely disabled in that area. No thought has been put into this!!!!

This is putting the school children at risk. Why dont they build these modular houses close to the place where their needs are provided

As a Marpole resident with a child heading to Churchill in a year and half, and having lived next to the high rise at 7th and Fir with this same mandate for housing the homeless, I can say without a doubt that this is the absolutely wrong location. The units at 7th and Ash saw frequent fights, swearing, drug use on 8th, people needing medical help to combat the imagined fears and entities they were constantly talking to in the air about them on the street. BUT - at least there are no schools by this location, and fortunately my son was one of the few kids and not out on his own. I can understand the importance of efforts to help the homeless, but this is not at all the right location.

Is it okay to ram big projects like this through using our tax dollars and only 2 weeks of public consultation? I think not.
