The proposed house is TOO close to schools. Has the city ever considered kids safety ?

I show my sympathy to the homeless and mentally disabled, but I am strongly opposed to the idea of building these shelters right beside multiple schools in the community.

I believe a warm bed and food is a human right. I believe every community must help THIER vulnerable. Marpole will do their part but Marpole will not accept any risk to our children in the process. Placing these facilities so close to our kids is completely unacceptable. We will fight this by any legal means at our disposal. I will support modular homes that are not near schools and I look forward to seeing similar facilities in Kitsilano, Point Grey, Kerrisdale and Shaughnessy.

To those politicians who passed the modular house idea in this residential area: where do you live? I want to know if any modular house will be built in your neighborhood or around your children’s school?
