Another failure of Vision, ZERO CONSULTATION and ZERO accountability to citizens who voted for these. Who thinks bringing drug dealers to your local school is a good idea?! While they completely ignore DTES! Yeah, a great plan. Remember this for 2018 election folks!

If they house homeless people in our neighbourhood and near our kids schools how will they guarantee safety. As of right now my sons school grounds are clean of needles and other garbage, what do you think is going to happen when the homeless move into this "temporary" facility. Crime has already gone up in the neighbourhood an office told me when I had to report someone broke into my patio and stole some things. This will only make it worse.

Creating modular shelter for the homeless across elementary school and in a well established residential area of mostly family and seniors without consultation and consider feedback first is like a communist state government! For the safety of of children I urge the mayor and council to reconsider the Healter and 59th homeless modular shelter.

The mayor says that the locations are chosen, among other reasons, based upon availability of public transit. Besides proximity to the elementary school and secondary school, access to public transit, grocery shopping and other basic needs is sorely lacking from this
location. Those housed at this location would be left wandering a residential neighborhood without convenient access to transportation or groceries.

If the City had first met respectfully with leaders within this community there would have been excellent support for putting in supportive housing for vulnerable seniors with appropriate services made available to them. Now there is no respect or trust left for the office of the mayor. A lost opportunity!

Even a third world country know what consultation is, why don't the Honorable Mayor or any of the Councilor built the housing shelter in their area first? set an example!, let them know what is the meaning of sense of security. Why the community around Marpole rejected the idea, because the shelter project will be house in front of 3 big schools, are they dumb or what?

Kids do not need to see people who are addicted, mentally unstable, troubled, sick, and those that made too many wrong decisions in their life. Many kids do not have the capacity to understand why homeless people are the way they and neither do they have to. This is very wrong to think that we should all be compassionate and put children at risk. The modular homes should replace their tents.

It is a wrong location and a wrong decision! Kids' safety should come first whenever politicians make decisions. Why did the decision was made without consulting the tax payers and residents in the selected location?
