Unacceptable such plan was done without community consultation. Safety of our school and young kids are the key concern.

No modular house near school , daycare . Thinking about our young children and the safety of Marpole community neighborhood. If the government really couldn’t find a place , just think about put the Modular house near Vancouver city hall .

This is irresponsible solution from government since this could cause serious safety issues for local residents and especially students in the schools nearby the selected location for the module building .

- 1 high school, 2 elementary schools, that's why parents drive kids around, children cannot even walk around safe. Powers that be will do something after bad incident. Hire people to do needle patrol etc.... - Trails around Langara Golf Course, will you feel safer? Will they "mitigate risks" by putting more lights in place, cut down bushes? Cameras? More patrol? Put up signs!? You citizens will just be a RISK MITIGATION exercise to the City. - I currently live in SE False Creek, 7 Years, FACT: Since Marguerite Ford Apartments and First Place opened up, Crime up and needles up (Now they have needle pickup every morning at the new science world play ground...after complaints.... ask the Science World cleaner how many needles she picks up...) Can't even bring kids to the community garden to work because of needle scare. Bike theft central as well. https://www.straight.com/news/495531/police-calls-reveal-growing-pains-persist-vancouver-supportive-housing-projects LATEST VPD STATS HERE: http://data.vancouver.ca/datacatalogue/crime-data-details.htm? - Someone onto something here, new development not until 2020+, you dangle social housing at the City/Council/VAHA, they are on it like fly on you know what... recall this: http://vancouversun.com/news/local-news/vancouvers-chief-housing-officer-fired-from-job Why? http://www.metronews.ca/news/vancouver/2017/01/09/vancouver-modular-housing-not-as-cheap-as-it-looks.html ALSO: ask the city what kind of tax breaks Onni will get for building this and ramming it down your throat. Hell or high water they will meet their homeless housing targets. Everyone single decision has been decided, and if you don't make a fuss, too bad. SO ORGANIZE AND FIGHT and you don't have to be RESPECTFUL. Transparency? How was this decision made? Go FOI them! - This is what you get for not going out to vote. You detached owners are outnumbered by condo dwellers. My parents lives in the area, very quiet at night not like downtown. My door is

It is good to build modular housing. It is Bad to build it at place so close to school.

Location chooses not thought out properly. Too far away from all conveniences. Should be located on South Granville, close to transit and shopping. My question is why place these homes on the property owned by Onni, what did the city offer Onni on future developments to acquire the property offered?

This is an insensible decision. Think of the nearby schools (Laurier Elementary, Churchill secondary, Langara College) and family YMCA near homeless residents is extremely dangerous for youths and families alike.
