Why this project is pushed through so quickly without consultation while other location's shelter or low cost housing projects eg at little mountain moved slowly over many years. Lots of land there. Marpole should not be Robinson's door mat.

City doesn't care about us, it is about safety of the young and the old. We do not have to be politically correct when it comes to safety. VPD crime statistic tells it... the mayor and advocates spew lies when they tell you otherwise... snake oil salesmen.... Only when someone gets hurt the City will do something... property crime and needles mean nothing to the policy maker at the hall. We are just a statistic.

Lack of communication and transparency with the residents of Marpole & Oakridge in the development of this project (until the very last minute) means the Mayor and the Council of the City of Vancouver doesn't care about what you think as a resident. Warning to other communities: look for other projects to suddenly appear in your neighbourhood with any consultation until the very last moment!

Roof over head is a basic human right and I am in full support of helping fellow citizens get back on track and fulfill that right. In such a rich country, such as Canada, there should be ZERO homelessness - we pay enough taxes to ensure everyone is taken care off. With this said, I am very concerned about placing people with potential mental and addiction problems in proximity to schools. My two children who currently walk to school will no longer be able to do so, as the risks of something happening will increase. Risk management of drug exposure sends shivers as we know that there are already many young addicts (and victims); kids do not need additional exposure! Please help protect our kids!!

The city councils should be more aware of the environment whether it is suitable for building certain kind of housing. Talking to the neighborhood is a must action.

Best location for modular housing is in the remote suburbs, away from the dense population. Minimize their influence on the neighbors.

Stupid and irresponsible idea! Gregory Robertson has made his money in real estate (sneaky way) and now he is trying to mess up and bring down other people's real estate value.
Where are your brains? Homeless shelters near schools, trying to endanger our children and get them on drugs!

Over half of the homeless are addicted to drugs. Having this housing right across 3 schools is really a ridiculous idea.

Stop the project immediately. BC housing should find a better place of homeless shelter for long run but not short run. The existing proposal is a very bad idea which the homeless lose ( they will lose the shelter after a while because it is only a “temporary “ shelter), the neighborhood lose ( a lot of safety issues caused by the shelter nearby the school zone) and also the Government lose ( the government needs to handle the trouble when the time they stay and to move the homeless).
