SAMNET has written to Ms Belinda Scott, MEC Finance KZN and the KZN Gambling and Betting Board to inform them of our stand and we urge you to join us and stop the scourge of gambling which brings with it a cycle of social ills; addiction, poverty, absenteeism from work and school, increase in alcoholism, etc.

The volume of support has reached a level that the KZN Gambling and Betting Board can no longer ignore. We are currently finalizing the formal submission packages to ensure our position is presented clearly during the upcoming oversight meetings.

I agree with this stand against Casinos. Previously, in 2009, i i independently wrote to Muslim Businessman concerning the methods Casino Operators by inviting family attractions at Casino complexes. leave the malls alone! we dont need these slot machines in places where our families shop. it just wrecks lives.
