The South African Muslim Network (SAMNET) has taken a stand together with 21 other religious, civic and political organisations against the installation of Electronic Bingo Terminals in shopping malls in Kwazulu Natal.
SAMNET has written to Ms Belinda Scott, MEC Finance KZN and the KZN Gambling and Betting Board to inform them of our stand and we urge you to join us and stop the scourge of gambling which brings with it a cycle of social ills; addiction, poverty, absenteeism from work and school, increase in alcoholism, etc.
