"Branstad and Dept. of Human Services have drafted a request for proposal (RFP) to implement managed care Medicaid. Basically, contracting with private companies to manage the healthcare of and distribute medical services to Medicaid populations, which include our children and other people with unique medical needs. The state contracts with the company(ies), and then the company(ies) creates comprehensive and coordinated care plans and contracts with providers who are willing to provide the services and care at a lower rate - that's the basic fundamental. Regarding this RFP from Branstad"
This can not happen to our special needs children,' its hard enough to try to get our children equipment and supplies they need.

Don't change Medicaid. It is hard enough for some to get the care they need without making it almost next to impossible. No wonder so many people I know are turning to alternative healing.
