It would spoil and end the nice peaceful life I've had here for the last 7 year. My home backs onto the woods and the thought of all the wildlife and trees being replaced by kfc and what comes with it is frightening and upsetting.

Cheers, I'm happy on my 75k a year, but when I get back to my nearly million pound house later I might take your advice and look for a new job maybe over the 100k Mark.

Logically this statement is just ridicules. It will create jobs and any creation of jobs how ever big or small to help young people to get out working and off job allowance is a good thing in my eyes.

Believe it or not I actually own a nice house up the grove. My family have also been in west Wickham for over 125 yeara, and we have two family businesses on the high st and up the top. Considering the amount of food which was cooked when this was a restaurant and the amount of people who use to drive their and park in the st opposite, I'm shocked that you decide to move their in the first place considering your now using that against the property knowing fall well that it was a restaurant environment when you moved in.

I do drive and I do work, and if you read my comment correctly your realise I highlighted the time kfc is at peak demand isn't during school hours. Normal KFC don't even open till mid day anyways.

Im sure hard working people who deserve them maybe students using the money to pay for their education fees or people looking for part time jobs, open minded people who see a job working at a food place as a positive thing earning money, and not a lower class job

I support the KFC drive thru. The original KFC does well. The issue with kids eating un healthy is the parents fault not KFC. West Wickham need to get with the modern times and become less snobby and judgmental. This will help jobs and considering it hasn't worked as a pub or restaurant for 5 years and suffered financial lose I can't see how the local people can think it being a pub will work its proved it can't.

Denise Verrico, I live in west Wickham and I can't see it being a problem with regards to rubbish that's just well rubbish, these places have to meet standards and will no doubt hire little pickers like the mc donalds do creating jobs. Waste will be removed privately and not picked up every 2 weeks like our houses so that's not a valid argument.
And regards to traffic ect the area is bad from traffic because all the mum's can't possibly pick their kids up from School not using a car. Apparently the 10-15 min walk is to much for them, If you notice the traffic is bad during the rush hour the time the kfc is normally quiet the busy period for them is Friday and Sat night which is the time the high street is normally dead.
I understand people's worry with house prices ect but I'm a home owner and I can't really see it making a difference to my house price the fact is it's another place to eat close to your home which will appel to a young family so it could do the opposite.
I understand that some people have issues with kids eating junk food but that is up to the parents to control and educate their children you can't say a food chain will make them fat, poor education on food and lack of exercise will make them over weight.
Considering the issue the country has with unemployment I think an opportunity to create 50 jobs is fantastic and considering the que's are out the door at the current branch you can't blame KFC from expanding for a demanding market in the local area and creating jobs in doing so.

Such a lovely place with beautiful gardens would rather see this place shut than have a shitty KFC we have so many eating places and takeaways in westwickham plus a McD why do we want a KFC aload of of crap who would want to drive past and look at that

Harry Smith I don't believe you live in West Wickham. In fact I firmly believe you work in some capacity for KFC. If you did live in West Wickham, you would realise how much of a negative impact this drive through would have on the local community. Our high Street is full of fast food take away shops, including a KFC. I have recently moved to West Wickham after living in inner London for many years. My family parents have lived in West Wickham for many years. I made a choice to move to a quieter area and to give my child better opportunities. My house backs on to La Rioj. The smell and noise and extra traffic would have a direct impact on my life. I honestly believe that if you spoke to 99% of residents in West Wickham, they would agree with me. It really is so clear to me that you work for KFC.

There is a KFC 0.3miles from the proposed site on the High Street in West Wickham - why would you need two KFCs within half a mile of each other?
Under Government plans being considered this would be illegal as it is within 10 mins walk of a school, Oak lodge school is 2 mins walk from the proposed site.

May i point out a big difference, when it was a tapas bar people ate and drank inside then left...... you know damn well the majority of people will eat this junk in their car then toss it out the window.... Also people will hang about after pub hours eating on the street being a general pain in the arse rather than going home. Not to mention all the chavs on peds and modified cars meeting there and reving about once finished !

I see no point in there being a second KFC outlet 0.3miles from the one that is already on the High Street, unless the original site be closed.
Regarding litter - I live less than 1000yds from the current site, about the right distance for someone to walk out of the shop and toss the left overs of their takeaway into my garden when they've finished, which I regularly have to pick up and dispose of.
Also under new plans by the Government this site should not get permission as fast food sites should not be opened within 10mins walk of a school and this is literally 2 mins from the gates of Oak Lodge.
The jobs argument does not stack up either, as the majority of staff will be given zero hours contracts. This means KFC can state they have generated 25 or 50 local jobs of which they are no obligation to give the workers any hours.
