Just for the record, the reason it closed as a pub was due to the owner retiring and having being run down, the only way it could have had cash injection was for it to be swallowed up by Mitchell's and Buttler etc.
It was a successful tapas restaurant that only closed due to one of the two owners pulling his share out of the company.
It is now perfectly set up to be a successful eating/drinking venue....such a shame KFC seems to have to power to bully their way in!
As for being Old and Boring.....I assure you, I am neither! I just have no intention of letting my life long home town of being swallowed up by what Croydon has become over the last 20 years.
Shame on the associated councillors and councils for not fighting for what they (should) stand for!!
