Say NO to Increased Traffic Congestion on Miller Avenue

We are suffering from enough traffic congestion in Mill Valley. Please do not add to an already bad problem. Studies were done, plans were approved -- stick to them!

Stick with 2 lanes. Honor the work of community volunteers who poured 1,000's of hours into studies, deliberation and decisions.

Please have the better of our community in mind- we need to help or traffic situation!

MV City Council needs 2 honor their agreement for 2 lanes BOTH ways on Miller! Keep ur word. There is no trust or respect if ur word is not kept.

Keep TWO LANES...avoid a one lane nightmare to sweet Mill Valley!

Please do not make Miller single lane traffic. I live in Sycamore Park, and as a mother of two, I can attest to the traffic which is already bad in the mornings and afternoons on Sycamore during morning school drop offs and afternoon pickups. Limiting lanes on Miller will increase traffic (for those in a hurry) on Sycamore, and increase the danger for children walking and biking to school. This is not in our community's best interest and puts our children in danger. Sycamore is already completely congested with cars parked on either side of the road (allowing room for just one car to go through at a time), garbage trucks, bikers, pedestrians, and commuters, most of whom are in a hurry. If there is detour/cut through traffic flowing over from Miller as well, this is a recipe for disaster and increases the likelihood of accidents. Please make our children and their safety a priority.

Please do not increase traffic by reduceing the lanes on Miller! As a Mill Valley resident of 50 years our traffic is out of control as is with two lanes.....

This is crazy!!! Traffic will be backed up forever. No to 1 lane!!!

I would like to keep the two lanes on Miller.

Keep it at 2 lanes each way. Don't mess with what works.

Please maintain TWO lanes on Miller

Why would they have only one lane - would be horrendous - bad enough our trees are gone.

Please reconsider!

I live on Walnut Ave and believe taking Miller down to one lane would increase the cut-through traffic on Walnut, Sycamore and other streets in Sycamore Park.

Keep the promise of two lanes

This seems to be a gratuitous detour from the original plan, perhaps a cave-in to the bicycle lobby. As a cyclist myself, I recommend sticking to the original configuration. Should it create dangerous conditions for cyclists, adjustments than can be made. We lost the Middagh, a charming trail at the head of Scott Valley, to undue influence on the BOS by a small number of "activists."

I have lived in mill valley for my entire 20 years, and use miller multiple times a day everyday. With all do respect to bikers in our community, we have established a bike path for them to use, and creating another bike lane will only inhibit our towns already bad traffic. I would also be more open to making the town more bike friendly if the bikers could obey the traffic laws and move with the regular flow of traffic, but the fact is that many of them are oblivious to the traffic around them and act as if they are the only vehicles on the road.

“NO” to reducing traffic capacity to one lane!

Please do not follow through with this very ill-advised plan!

Please consider the lives of people who actually live in Mill Valley and use this road. We understand that the 2 main engineers for the project are members of the MBC and are working in the best interest of that organization. How in the world is reducing traffic flow in Mill Valley a good idea?
