Say NO to Increased Traffic Congestion on Miller Avenue

Stay with the plan developed by community process: 2 lanes each way.

Such bad timing to cut down to one lane when more and more people are moving here.

Keep 2 lanes each way!!

The traffic is not bad enough on E. Blithedale and Miller and now they are thinking of one lane each way. Say no to that ridiculous idea.

People already drive like savages in this town! Its only a matter of time before tradegy strikes, enough is enough! Taking Miller Ave to a single lane in both directions is not only asinine but totally defys logic.

I think the city council should listen to the voices of all the people who contributed to the planning and realize the lack of congestion during construction on Miller may have impacted Blithedale instead.

I am support in maintaining two lanes between Millwood and Willow. Thank you!

Please restore it to two lanes

For a petition, this is the easiest yes I signed, ever. I use Miller Avenue on a daily base and to maintain 2 lanes is just common sense.

Whenever traffic goes from 2 lanes to one you have a bottle neck. The development of the lumberyard will slow traffic as autos enter and exit the the businesses. Why is the counsel creating a problem for the community? I definitely want the two lanes to be reinstated as was planned.

Those residents who are proposing "trying" one lane for a year know full well that in a year's time, they will argue against changing (regardless of how difficult traffic is), by saying everyone is used to it and it will be too costly to change. Let's get it right the first time and stick with the plan that the community approved, one that will keep Miller traffic flowing smoothly. Blithedale is already congested enough.

Mill Valley has far too much vehicle traffic to constrict Miller Avenue. Keep the original 2-lanes incoming, 2 lanes outgoing plan or put this issue to a public vote.

The community of Mill Valley, along side of the City of Mill Valley spent an extraordinary amount of years, time, hard work and care coming to a plan and design that worked for the community. Now, at the 11th hour, a change is being made without going through the proper public process. That, especially in this national climate where promises are being broken, long-held political processes are being ignored have heightened the awareness of everyone, making this recent decision by the City Council even more concerning. If this is the approach the City forces through on this topic, there is no confidence that any further decisions that have gone through the proper process will not take a turn like this one. Do not betray the process Mill Valley has respected for far too many years with the complete and utter disregard for shown with this issue. I want to have confidence in my City Council. Thank you.

Please respect the process. People spoke before and the agreement between City Council was made with the community. Do not betray the trust of the community in this way.

Your idealized vision of the world ignores the realities of our town and its traffic situation. Please stop kowtowing to small but vocal special interest groups like Miller Ave. residents (who knew what they were getting when they moved in) and the cycling lobby, and listen to the vast majority of your constituents. We will remember how you vote the next time we vote.

It's moot to discuss the merits of one vs. two lanes at this point. The City has to stay within the legal bounds of the Plan. For them to now do something different as a "pilot" would be extralegal, it would seem.

We must honor the community-approved Miller Avenue Streetscape Plane and maintain 2 lanes in each direction on Miller Avenue.

I am opposed to reducing the number of traffic lanes from two to one on part of Miller ave because it doesn't make sense to me to reduce lanes when traffic in Mill Valley is increasing and will continue to increase in the future.

Reducing this major road to/from Mill Valley to 1 lane decreases citizens safety in an emergency. Contrary to Emergency preparedness planning.
