I think that the South shoreline is more than sufficient for Indiana train commuters. In no way does new construction for a an extension through Munster necessary or productive for the citizens of Munster. The uproot of many families and citizens will be catastrophic and the income brought into Munster will be insignificant by this poor decision of the committee.

We will surely be taxed to death to uphold this train. We don't want it!!! Put the money into roads and schools. Then you won't have to raise the gasoline tax, cigarette tax or tax sweets and put it on the backs of already burdened Indiana residents.

I came to Indianapolis yesterday with the hope of meeting you. You were in committee meetings about education. I find it ironic that you are fighting for funding for education but at the same time endorsing HB1144 which takes 50% of towns tax base for the next 30 years and steers it to train and development. Shame on you.

No trains for Munster and Dyer. Quality of life for existing residents will diminish. Roads not equpped to handle heavy traffic. Politicians only thinking about tax dollars not about residents.
