City of Rockingham are considering an application to approve the building of a 5 storey high aged care facility on Secret Harbour foreshore. Whilst we welcome the idea of development at the foreshore, many of us are opposed to any development this high. If you are one of these people, please feel free to add your name/comments to the petition and I will deliver to Council prior to the meeting.

I honestly cannot believe how many people are showing up to protect the foreshore views because it feels like the whole neighborhood finally woke up to what the council is planning. This momentum is just wild and it proves we are not going to let them ruin the skyline with that facility without a massive fight.

Aged care facility is fine, however, a 5 storey high facility is a bit over the top, apart from difficult access for the residence, it would not enhance the ambience of this foreshore area
Whilst I would welcome development of our foreshore, 5 storey buildings are simply not suitable for this area and will spoil what is otherwise a beautiful area. A lower level development which promotes local golf courses and beautiful beaches would be much more suitable
Do not set a precedent with this, 5 stories does not fit in with Secret Harbour
NO to secret meetings. NO to any high rise In SECRET HARBOUR or any part of the Comet Bay Ward.

A five story high building would be totally out of character for the area. It would stick out like a sore thumb and look foreign in this area of natural beauty. Once on is approved and up it opens the doors to many more ending up high rise development. Secret harbour has a village small town feel not a high rise city!!
