Say NO to Glade & Roberts Rd. Soccer Field Re-Zoning! - Oppose Commercial Assisted Living Facility on Glade Road

I moved my family to Colleyville for the small town feel, not more concrete!

No to covenant church rezoning ordinance. We do not need anymore congestion on Roberts road or glade road.

Following this petition and comments. Also I would like to address one comment about Colleyville preserving parks and open spaces. This council is proactive for our parks. We have the new parks master plan being reviewed and I think residents are going to be excited to see what will be proposed. Also we were recently criticized by 2 council members and a select group of folks ( who are gearing up to run for the next years council seats) for purchasing the open space around city hall. Yes property is expensive and I don't see the prices decline in the near future, but we are proud we purchased these green spaces. We have a great plan in store that will be released soon. Please, No! No to Glade & Roberts Rd. Soccer Field Re-Zoning! - I oppose Commercial Retirement Facility on Glade Rd.

I oppose this project as I live right off of Glade Rd and have to drive past this area numerous times during the day. The construction would make my commute worse than it is already getting and would bring additional density to an area that is already getting crowded. It would also take away an already dwindling green belt along Glade Rd. My kids also practice on these soccer fields and we would then have to move outside of Colleyville for their team practices.

Do not take the fields. A retirement community is NOT what colleyville is about.

I recommend no rezoning.

Can we please leave some green grass in Colleyville!

We live in Woodland Hills and this would at a detriment to Colleyville residents. We are already dealing with excessive traffic with the new shopping at Heritage and this would take away from the beauty of Glade Road. Just stop already!

I researched the effect this project will have on our property values and overall neighborhood atmosphere. There is no question that a development like this will have a negative economic impact on all of our property values. The construction over a long period of time will detract from our quality of life. There is little or no history of projects like this being built in the direct center of high value homes. I believe the reason is because high net worth areas with steep property values are never congruent with this type of project. People in areas like this are justified in their opposition to such an incursion. After researching the web and talking to several people in real estate development it is clear that Covenant’s mission, while commendable, is misplaced. I urge the Committee to deny the request to rezone and allow this development as an unjustified disruption of our neighborhoods’ economic and domestic well-being.
