This is total BS. My kids will have to struggle to pay and have student loans for YEARS after graduation, but prisoners get a free ride??? No f*&king way.

i and my son have spent $30,000 on his college education and he has wored hard to get there and with no free ride he choose to study and stay in school and not break the law and expect a free ride to higher learning,it will take him the next 10 years to pay back all his loans. why not pass a law to help working family's like our's to pay off or forgive our school loans,these people chose the way they live to do bad,just as my son did to be good if this law become's so it is a slap in the face to all who work hard and strive too live right,no more free ride's for the so called disadvantaged, not when they took the path that led them to jail!!

I DO NOT want my tax dollars spent on this program. Why not institute reforms for youthful offenders or invest the money into the school system. Those that break the law should not have more rights and opportunities than law abiding citizens.

I pay over $400 a month for my student loan. It is unbelievable that between this idea by Cuomo and Obama's plan to give free tuition to illegal aliens. We shouldn't have to put up with this garbage anymore. It's time to start helping the people who deserve the help. The ones who work hard and AREN'T IN PRISON FOR COMMITTING CRIMES!!!!!

I have 2 students in undergraduate college programs. They work 3 jobs to try to pay for school. this is an insult to hard working students!
