I helped my daughter because of the prices of college and you want to give prisoners free education? What kind of moron are you. Put the money into the economy not the damn prison, what will they buy to stimulate the economy? I know what a hard working person would do!!!

they did wrong, why should we have to pay for them. Our children and grandchildren come first

I think this is a bad idea, we have so many people who can't afford to day to day, but lets give inmates a free ride.

Students have struggled to get student loan and pay for them. Parents have gone out on a limb to provide a college education for their children. Those in prison do not deserve a free education!

Can't believe they will find jobs with their new college educations! People without a criminal record are having hard a hard time finding good paying jobs!! It's another social giveaway !!!!

I feel giving inmates a free college education. First who would hire them after their release and second if thy did a crime they should not be rewarded for it. My husband and I have to save and make cut backs to send our daughter to college and it's just not right inmates can get that same education for free

I went to college and never got arrested or sent to jail and now I have THOUSANDS of student loans to pay off. I even went SUNY. Do you believe it's fair to give something we all have to pay but inmates get that college education for free? It's hard to find a job out there for anybody. Even us Bachelor's Degree holding individuals are having a hard time finding a job. They deserve to be set back in the workplace. That is their consequence.

This new plan is an absolute slap in the face and is absurd. I am a law abiding citizen with student loan debt of $40,000 and a prisoner can break the law and receive a college education on the tax payers dime for free? I was a supporter of Governor Cuomo but I will now be voting against him.
