Hell no to this. I do NOT SUPPORT THE PLAN. We lad abiding tax paying citizens should not pay for criminals to got to college. is the governor crazy? Why do all the good children who get good grades in highs chool have to have part time jobs and work to get into a community college and these criminals don't have to do anything? Such an asinine proposal.

I am a recent college graduate seeking attendance to graduate school. I would hope that Governor Cuomo would fight for graduate-level TAP for students rather than free college for prisoners. I am also a hispanic female who grew up in lower-middle class my entire life. I have fought for my college education and I am still buried in student loans.

The middle-class already pays a fortune educating the poor, now he wants to bury us again to educate the criminals of our state who have made illegal choices. While we struggle to afford education for our own children. No way should a Progressive/Socialist zelot like Cuomo be allowed to afflict this travestry on New York State Taxpayers!

What a coincidence ! The day prior to this, my normally rock-solid son called me - he was having a serious melt down about trying to keep up with college expenses, and was really fearing the prospect of pending loan repayment and finding a reasonable paying job. It rather shook me. So, now ask me what I think of this idea !!

$60,000 per year for one inmate? Maybe they should feel some of the effects of the economy that they drain and take their benefits that they still receive while sitting in jail and cut the heat, tv time and reduce the meals they receive let's start there. My kids are law abiding citizens that will get NO college assistance because I make too much so since I succeeded in life my kids and I should should be force the excessive amount for college. At this rate my kids will be able to commit a burglary, plea guilty so they can go to state prison and get a degree! What B.S, Cuomo what are you thinking!!!
