Encarserated criminals should get an education at the expense of tax payers. This governor needs a reality check

If this passes I will leave this state! Cuomo has made this state a dictatorship and I will not pay taxes to support his super ego.

We paid for our kids to go to college, if there is extra money why not give it back to the taxpayers. I don't fell inmates should be getting free college courses.

This is outragous and an insult to the law abiding, tax paying citizens who struggle day in day out to try and help themselves, their children, and others to pay the cost of college fees. This is just as bad as those people who have multiple kids, file a state tax return and get more money back then what they paid into on taxes for the year. STOP giving my taxpaying money out so freely. I support inmates having the abiity to attend college, but they pay the fee not me. What a disgrace, are we going to raise a generation where the next logical step from graduating from college is to get sent to prison so they can get a free degree??

How about we all ask Governor Andrew Cuomo why he would rather fund free college for criminals than provide free Community College for our hardworking kids that are just starting off in their lives??? Would that not be better money spent than rewarding people who chose a life of crime? Our kids deserve these "perks" not people who have broken the law. How about using money that he wants to educate criminals with and MANDATE KINDERGARTEN?

This proposal is absurd. I'm looking at paying $15,000-$55,000 per year for my son to go to college. I have no interest in supporting the college education of those who have committed crimes. They made their choices, and this state pays enough already. Free room and board...and a college degree? That is not a deterrant to crime. It's a reward.

When all High School Graduates get to go to college free , then we can talk about those in jail.

This is insane!!! I am paying for my 2 children's college education and can't even afford a new vehicle so I can go to work to pay these loans. This government is making it so people would rather go on welfare or go to jail to make it easier on themselves. I don't blame these people. I blame the Government!!!

Why give them something for free that most of us need to work hard for?? I will be paying my student loans for a long time and you want to give it to prisoners for a FREE?!?! Why reward the bad? I dont think they ahould have anything more then the necessities in jail.

I sent the governor a scathing email as well. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard, especially when I had to work my butt off all of my life to give my kids a college education.

Most ridiculous thing I ever heard. As a middle class parent who paid for both of my daughters college education, I find this so unfair!!!
