Shame on you Gov. Cuomo for even thinking that an incarcerated individual be entitled to a free education. Prisoners should pay for their education just like any other American citizen. Enough with the hand outs! The tax payers can't take much more.

Put more money into preK-12 education...if teachers are better able to reach students through smaller class sizes and time to care for students, I bet you will see far less prisoners!

A worthless, drugged out monster robbed my 81 year old grandmother of $100 and then beat her to such a state that she succumbed to her injuries, suffering to her last breath (which was only given to her via a ventilator). If Cuomo thinks that I support this animal being given even the slightest option of any kind of educational benefit, then I'd kindly like to ask him what color the sky in his world is....

I am not ok with this in anyway shape or form. So criminals get free education and can then take jobs from hard working people who follow the rules, people who have a hard time paying for their education .I am tired of bad people getting rewarded while good people get capped on.

You make no sense. Would you like a medal? Qualifying for financial aid and believing in it are two separate things.Either you qualify or you don't. It's means tested. Your belief system instilled by your parents is something you might want to try to overcome if you qualify. Give yourself a break. Some of us have got your back.
