If they are thinking about stupid things like this then give me some type of credit on my taxes for the Student loan I repaid over 10 years. I struggled and it isn't right that they want to give free education to inmates. If they want to better themselves let them take out a loan like I did.

Having convicts enlist in the army to fight in the middle east would have some challenges but certainly an option that should be explored by Cuomo.

Full amnesty for convicts who enlist in the Army to fight in the middle east. Violent offenders should not be included in this deal. Four years of service and a full pardon. We clean out the prison system and give therse guys a new chance on life. Also i believe in turning our prisons into Trade School's to teach prisoner's a trade such as plumbing, Bricklayer's Electrician etc. to get them ready for the outside world.. A job placement officer could help them find work upon release...

I could support training for trades where inmates could work in the prisons and do similar after incarceration but not college education at the expense of a dwindling number working NYS taxpayers
