If they get money to pay for a college education, it should be considered as a loan and payed back once they get a job just like a law abiding citizen has to.

I have 2 children in college right now. They both work at least 25 hours per week while attending college full time. Is Governor Cuomo going to help them pay off their student loans when they graduate?

Public school funding and programs like TAP are under attack, but criminals will have an opportunity for a free college education? Seems like the old phrase, "the inmates are running the asylum" is more true than we know. Recidivism rates aside, give me a break.

I am completely against this. How about helping students and parents who are good citizens in this state. My children will be looking at thousands of dollars of debt, despite money having been saved since they were born! Isn't it good enough they get three square meals a day, free health care and other benefits at tax payer expense? There are families and individuals in this state that have to decide between putting food on the table and paying their bills or getting their meds and yet Cuomo wants to give free education to people who cannot be productive in society?
