I do not agree with this planandwill not support. It is wrong there are too many hard working families in New York that can barely make a living here and can not afford college for their children.

I had to work hard to get good grades and get scholarships because MOM and Dad don't qualify for free $$$$. I guess I should've ran drugs in the neighborhood. I would have it all for free, huh??. Where is the reward for abiding the laws. No wonder Crime is on the rise!!!!

I'm a single parent struggling to raise to kids and pay for one in college with a decent job, loans for sure to be paid back when all is said and done with little job opportunity and Cuomo wants us all to pay college expenses for convicts! What are we teaching our kids by allowing this, and seriously when an employer sees Universery of Syracuse and Universery of Attica who do ya thinks gonna get the job! First the Safe Act now this, this country needs to pray this kind of "leadership" doesn't end up being our next president!!!

No way should we have to pay for criminals to get an education when as law abiding citizens we are struggling to pay for our own education. This is absurd!

no to free college for prisoners. Prison is a punnishment not a luxury. You can give all children in erie county free college. My husband and I work our butts off and we know we will not be able to afford college for our son and why strap him with college bills for the rest of his life if you were willing to give it to prisoners you should give it to all our kids in school

I agree!! I had to pay for my education and unfortunatly my son is going to have to pay for most of his, and now I should pay for someone who broke the law? NO WAY!

My children are STILL paying off their college loans! Why should prisoners be allowed to get a free education when we can't even give our law abiding students a free education??

I am working Overtime to help my 2 kids pay for school. They have kept their noses clean. Why reward someone with free education for committing a crime? Pay for my good kids who are working jobs to pay their tuition and who will get hired without a record after they get their degree. I believe jail should be bread and water. They got more cable and amenities than I have. IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE PUNISHMENT BECAUSE YOU BROKE THE LAW!!!!, NOT A FREE TICKET TO YOUR FUTURE!!!!!

Inmates had their chance to be honest citizens and choose to be criminals. I do not wish to see criminals made smarter using my hard earned money!
