I work as hard as i possibly can just to pay the interest on my college degree. Free health insurance is already a reason for some people to commit crimes, now they can get free college as well. They say they are trying to do this because criminals who get a college degree are less likely to be repeat offenders. Well why award them, when i abide by the law and am strapped for it

Free college education to prisoners who will hire them with a record? Free college educations to the people that contribute to society and have earned them and deserve them!

My "free" college came with condition, service to my country in a time of war! I earned it. Those in prison, not so much.

No way should images be able to get a free bachelor's degree. If they want they should pay for just like everyone else who works extremely hard. This would not be fair at all to the people who work and obey the laws. If they want a degree they should have to pay as much as everyone else

We need to provide assistance to children of middle class citizens first. It has become a hardship for many middle class families to send their children to college. We need to think of them first. Many of my son's friends cannot go to college because they just don't have the funds. We need to fix that first.

I worked up to 3 jobs during the summers and at least 1 during the school year to pay for my college education, and I lead a crime-free life. If yoyu want to give prisoners a free education, do it for all our students.

Let's educate the people who are law biding citizens first. Then and only then should we be entertaining this type of proposal.

I do not believe prisoners should be allowed this, our governor should be thinking of the children growing up in allowing them to be able to have enough money to attend college, is he crazy or what! I. plan on being another person to leave this state because we are all taxed to death, it sure is alot cheaper to live in the south!!!

My opinion is that your in prison because you broke the law. My two children have not broken the law and they are paying and will continue to pay for their college education. When you break the law and are incarcerated then you should not have access to something like this for nothing. If they choose to attend college they should pay like everybody else. As a taxpayer I am tired of paying for everyone else that wants everything for nothing.
