I have $72,000 in student loan debt. I work at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Now if I was a convicted criminal I would not have passed the background check to get hired at RPCI, but I would be debt free. Why waste money when the prisoners can't pass a background check to use there degree.

I'm a student that holds two bachelor degrees and graduate credits. I have a hard enough time trying to pay my loan bills while living in my parents house. I can't provide for myself and I've never been in prison. I don't think it's acceptable to offer prisoners classes when I wasn't even allowed a chance at financial aid as an only child.

When there's evidently not enough money to properly fund our education system. Why should we take better care of inmates than our children? If we had better programs in place for our youth maybe there wouldn't be so much crime. Typical of our society to be reactive rather than proactive.

I think college education for inmates is a bad idea. All this idea will do is teach then how to be smarter criminals. Why should I pay for a criminals education when mine doesn't get paid for
