This program is an insult to all of the hard working, loan taking college students and their families. Restore loan programs for taxpayers, not criminals.

I understand a trade such as fabrication, machining, or welding but I am in no way in favor of free college education. I will also sign a petition to end free cable TV, cigarettes, and candy for convicts.

This is just another ploy by the Govenor to get more votes for the far left liberals. As you stated hard working middle class deserve a break. Kids are coming out of college, in debt, and can't secure a job. Enough!

Nobody paid for my education, I do not think prisoners deserve this. Get out of prison, get a job, and pay your own way like everybody else!

This type of legislation is a slap in the face to hardworking, law-abiding New Yorker's with student loans. It's bad enough tax payers have to pay for the inmates room and board, healthcare including dental, fitness and recreational equipment, etc.

Please fight against this. This is nothing more than another political maneuver to be reelected. Cuomo lost my vote no matter what he does now.
