I agree that we want to help these individuals who have taken the wrong path, but as a college graduate with loans higher than my mortgage I just don't see how it's fair that they receive a free pass. There has to be a way to offer a college education with a loan of some sort that can be repaid when released from prison.

its bad enough my tax dollars go to inmates conforts of life; cable tv, losbster, steak, a/c, free health care, etc...this all paid by tax dollars already. helping them get GED's is one thing, but college degrees...ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!

Try supporting the law abiding citizens who are working their tail off to go to college and have to take out thousands in loans to do so. Why should I support them when I struggle to pay my bills everyday? I already pay for the inmates to have food, clothing, health care and shelter when there are people who work and could be homeless and not have healthcare. Enough is enough.
