horrible idea when all these college kids can't even pay their own loans or some kids that can't even go to college because they cannot afford it!!

Do not fund inmates college degrees. This is unfair to all taxpayers who must fund their own educations.

I have a neice and nephew that had a degree and couldn't find a job. They had to go back and get another degree. They are still paying for the first degree. I don't reward people when they do wrong. I don't say people shouldn't get another chance, but they should have to pay for it just like the rest of us.

my daughterinl;aw has been busting her ass for 4 yrs with student loans etc etc to get her degree and now cuomo wants to give these bums free educatuion,they shouldve thought of what they were doing ion the 1st place and they wouldnt be in prison as most are afforded ample oppotunities!!

I am working two jobs to put my daughter through school. my older son will be attending Alfred next year. I do not feel the criminals should go for free while the single mothers half to work two jobs. you are teaching society that crime does pay!

I cannot support this proposal if you are not going to provide affordable college education for everyone -- especially the youth of our state. My niece is a senior applying to colleges and she is looking at colleges charging 60,000 dollars a year -- and State University's are also expensive. Why should my niece who is third in her class not receive a free college education but a prisoner who murdered someone or did something really bad that they are in prison is rewarded with free college education? It does not make any sense. I know education is the key to staying out of prison -- maybe Gov. Cuomo who I voted for should start with people who are NOT in prison yet to keep them out of prison!!!!! before he rewards those in prison.
