I am also in favor of rehabillitation of inmates however free college for them is unfair to all of the graduates who are struggling with huge college loans. How about supporting those who are contributing members of society.

unbelievable!!! Why should honest people have to pay for education but people who break the law get one for free?? just another waste and poor management of tax dollars. Inmates already have more rights than they should and cost tax payes too much. The whole system is a JOKE!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!

My husband and I together only make abiut $65,000 a year. We have 3 kids, one just finished college and a second one in his 3rd year ar UB. They had to take out over $40,000 each to be able to go to college and Cuomo wants to give people who broke the law a free ride. his makes me sick. What are you telling the young people these days. That if you work hard in school and are a good person you will have to struggle and put yourself into debt. However, if you brake the law and are a bad person you can go to college for free. Shame on you Cuomo

Gov. Cuomo, you must be out of your mind to expect the tax payers to roll over for this plan.

I am a mother of , 2 of my daughters are currentl attending college, and another is hoping to attend in the fall. because of the lack of financal assistance, they will begin their adult lives with more debt than most adults I know. Please do not offer a free education to those who break the law. have you not thought of how many people might commit crimes in hopes of a free education?

Many people struggle to send their children to college. We cant keep rewarding those who wish to do wrong...while those who work hard cant afford to put themselves through college. What kind of message are we sending?
