Let's stop rewarding the idiots of NY and start rewarding people that work and follow laws. My husband and I work full time and have no idea how we will ever pay for our kids college education (seems like we will never be able to save enough) BUT why bother trying, just have them break the law and they can go for free. NY is a mess and does everything backwards...it's the place to be if you want free handouts or like being punished for working and following the law:(

Our Governor denies our school districts on Long Island the funds we need to properly educate our children, but has money to put criminals through college. Not only is this ludacris and ridiculous, I think it is bordering on criminal.

my husband and I both worked very hard for our bachelor's degrees and are still paying off loans. It should not be given to criminals for free when law-abiding citizens have to pay.

People are in debt for the rest of their lives over college loans. People have a hard time to pay off the college loans and he wants free education for convicts? Unbelievable! If they want an education, then they should pay for it like everyone else...books along with all the regular supplies a student has to pay. How about room and board?

This is the most unbelievable waste of money. I have to pay for my children, so the Felon's shouldn't get it for free. It's times people started to support themselves and not expect taxpayers to do it. It is unbelievable that the working Americans have to support over 50% of America.this country is going to he'll and people are getting sick of it!!!!

My daughter graduated from college with huge college debt.She can't find a job in her field of study.Her Father & I also have a large Parent Plus loan to pay back,on our retirement income.FREE College for inmates,has Gov.Cuome LOST HIS MIND??

$5, or $5000 no amount to additional tax payer funds should go toward this program. Restore funding for public school. College assistance for low income students
