I think it's time to stop giving everything for free and start creating jobs so everyone can start earning their own way.

why should i have to pay back excessive student loans? maybe I just should have committed a crime to get my education free! this law is BS and a slap in the face to all people who are paying on student loans in good faith.

I am paying 1400.00 per credit hour and you want to give it to criminals for free? Why should I be a law abiding tax payer in NYS?

Mark I know student's who have paid between$60,000 to $80,000 dollars for, a four year BA degree and this nit wants to give free educations to criminals. I believe he is grasping at straws because he knows he is trouble in November

Prison is punishment, Prison is not free handouts. There are people more deserving of our help. We have children from poor families to feed, we have homeless to take care of, we have elderly to support. I am sorry but prisioners is on the bottom of my list. Let this Prisoners volunteer in a nursing home where my grandmother does not have enough staff to care for her. Let these prisoners work 12 hrs/day and 6 days/week like both of my parents to put food on the table for me and my brother. Educated them on what it is like to work min wage jobs and still not break the law. Sorry but what have they done to deserve a free college education?

Education is great but if we have to pay for our college degree they need to pay for theirs.
