Please focus on educational opportunities for our New York state citizens and veterans first! Bring the cost of education at State Universities down so that it's more affordable first. Honor of Veterans by offering further educational incentives first. Then maybe we can consider using my tax dollars for inmates. Maybe.

Absolutely disgusting...my daughter & I will have education loans that are the equivalent of a mortgage payment each month, and you want to reward criminals with degrees. Great lesson for our young people...you are so backwards. How about assisting hard-working, law-abiding citizens instead?

Those that have committed crimes have more rights and now you want to add free education? Shame on you when so many families are struggling.

This is an insult to victims of crime. This is also an insult to students who are non criminals who have college debt. It is sickening to reward criminal behavior.

Hard working Citizens are struggling to pay off student loans and you wanna add free education to their free housing and meals? That's insane.

They have way too many luxuries in jail now, that is why they don't mind getting arrested over and over. Because they are not being PUNISHED ENOUGH.

How did values and incentives get so screwed up that free college for convicted criminals can even be considered a good idea?? If this lame brained idea passes, responsible New Yorkers need to leave the state in droves. It might be time to vote with our feet.

Providing a free college education to criminals, while many people have huge college debts is wrong. That concept is basically rewarding people for breaking the law. Where is the justice in that?

Free room and board, free cable, free education, what's next? Free vacations?

Nothing like encouraging people to become criminals in the name of free education. Cuomo grow a brain...people who get things handed to them do not respect it because they did not work for it nor did they earn it.
