Cut the cost of higher education for law abiding citizens! The prisoners are there to be punished, not rewarded for breaking the law!

Instead of giving handouts to criminals, as hardworking people work more than half of their lives to pay off student loan debt, let's invest our money in early childhood education. Our children deserve better than prisoners.

There are honest, hard-working people struggling to pay for their children's education. It is ridiculous to give immates a free college education with so many people accumulating huge debt to pay for a honest education. Shame on you Governor!!!!

Many of us carry the financial burden of student loans. Not fair for those being punished to be rewarded with free education. They should carry the same burden the rest if us do!

I see no reason why we sould provide free college to prisioners when there are brilliant students that can't afford college.

This is the worst idea Cuomo has ever had. And he's had some awful ideas. How disgusting to offer free education to citizens who break the law over citizens who actually abide by the law!? I paid for my Bachelors and Master degree and am working two jobs to pay off my loans. I've never even gotten a speeding ticket and I've received NO MONEY for school. You are awful, Cuomo!

Living paycheck to paycheck, I am paying for 2 daughter's college tuitions. Law abiding taxpayers are the ones that need help here. When will the producers start to get a break instead of ever increasing servitude and debt?

I am all for rehabilitation and the creation of opportunity. But I will spend 15 years paying off my student loans, and I'm a law-abiding citizen. There must be a more fair answer.

Why should a person that commits a crime/crimes be rewarded with a free college education.?????I do NOT want MY tax dollars to support this idea.
