Anyone wanna pay off the $90,000 I have out in student loans? Why should they get a free education and I have to pay for mine. I did nothing wrong. If anything they should pay for mine!!

I have grand children fighting to pay off huge college loans with no help from the state. I believe people had the same chance to go to school and make get an education and made bad choices instead. Let's do more for our kids who already have the loans and the kids who still want to follow their dreams

I'm disabled and my children have to pay for tuiton. Paying for inmates to get an education on the taxpayers dime is ridiculous!

This idea is just not right. Rewarding negative behavior. My children who have been good citizens are chest high in college debt. This plan of Cuomo's is just WRONG on so many levels.

Once they are out how do you plan on these people finding jobs? many places will not hire people who have been convicted of major crimes. Now you have well educated criminals who may not be able to find jobs. If they do manage to find jobs they need to pay the state back for their education.

Absolutely ridiculous idea. Students who are law abiding citizens are hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt for the education, and are struggling to find jobs after college. People who break the law, especially those who do severely enough to be incarcerated, do not deserve college education and job opportunities handed to them.

Being someone who "was" married to a man who IS in and out of prison
I know both sides. Here are the facts people. Most inmates will NEVER change and the ones that do are the ones who happen to have a mental illness and get the RIGHT help. Taking away the graduate-level Tuition Assistance Program is just ass back wards.. If the inmate wanted to change and DID then this program would be avb to them as well!

Nice way to get people to commit crimes in order to get a free college education. I'm really tired of all this free stuff when my daughter who is of the working poor with a special needs child struggles just to pay just daily living expenses.
