We the people demand common sense representation and are tired of our rights, as law abiding American citizens being eroded by silly politicians who are not working for us. Help out the law abiding people who are struggling to pay those school debts instead. I love my country but I fear my government. Shame on you Governor Cuomo.

I struggle to pay for my college and have never committed a crime or been in jail, why should these inmates who've committed crimes get it for free?! Were not supposed to be rewarding them.

I cannot afford to pay my student loans with one job they should not be able to be convicted of a crime and get a free ride to an education that doesn't guarantee them a "good" job so they can return to the same things they have always done.

Let's not incentivize crime by giving the convicts yet another benefit that rewards them in jail. Reward law abiding citizens for doing what they are supposed to be doing.

If this comes to pass, this will put the nail in the coffin for me. I will leave NYS and my tax dollars will be going with me. If NYS is looking to lose more residents, this would be a number 1 reason for it. I am tired of paying and paying. Cuomo needs to go!

If I can't afford it, why should they get it for nothing? I have work my whole life, but I still can't afford a degree. Is the social message to me that I should go to prison to make that dream come true for myself????

My children, who have done everything right, and hold jobs and attend college have to pay for ther own college, but prisoners who have have been convicted of a crime, get a free education? Something wrong about that message!

Do the prison guard get free college too? Or do they have to watch as the inmates get bachelor degrees from Cornell and Bard for free? Cuomo has lost his mind...!
