If this absurd idea goes through, every single person with a student loan in this state should refuse to pay them back. How dare Cornell to hit me up for an alumna donation when they are already giving away the education I'll be paying for the rest of my life!

I think perhaps we should provide assistance to those now paying student loans - which are very much in excess of $5000 a year instead of adding a perk for those who are serving time.

Why in the world would a free person like us be expected to pay and fight for college education for ourselves and our children while prisioners go free? These people are in prison for a purpose - not for a free ride!

While jails are being closed for budget cuts, further endangering the CO's employed there (overpopulation)...my tax dollars are going to pay for a convicted felon's higher education? SICKENING. They don't NEED a higher education to be rehabilitated (if that's even possible)! How can anyone fathom this a good spend of taxpayer's dollars?????

How many middle class people who can offered collage will do something to go to jail for four years get collage paid, free room and board, free meals, free medical, free medical and well fair when you get out, bet they will help you get a job so the record don't matter. Sounds like something is wrong here!!!

Who is really going to hire a criminal at any jobs besides McDonald's? Why would we give more in taxes if it's only a waste of money. Nobody in prison deserves a degree.
