absolutely not. law abiding citizens have to pay for college, convicted criminals don't deserve it for free.

If the state of New York has extra money to spend on collage education it should be used for low and middle income family's to send their kids to collage.

No WAY! I am a struggling college student with 60-80k in debt and I have to take out student loans and work to pay my way through school yet we are going to reward those who have screwed up? I dont think so! Where is the aide and "tax breaks" for those who havent done wrong and work our asses off to pay for school just in the hope we come out of college and can find a job! This makes me sick! Im all about second chances for those who have made a mistake in their life but i'll be damned if myself as a "taxpayer" will be paying for their free education. How about all the damn money to put Cuomo on the campaign trail for reelection or all the donations made to his organization be put towards these inmates education? Im sure thatll know off quite a bit of the money it will cost to put these inmates in classes. Sickening! No faith in Cuomo!!!!!!

I currentlywork as a Corrections RN. This is a complete waste of money, just as their all encompassing health care is.

Maybe I'll rob a bank and if I get away with it I'll have the money to payfor college. If I get caught I spen time in jail get my room and board for free plus my tuition payed for . When I come out Cuomo will have a plan by then to give advance3 hiring to convicted Felon's the state (we) just educated for free and I will go to the head of the employment line ahead of all the ligitimate graduated in debt fools.

This is insane .. my own granddaughter cant get a student loan that she would repay to continue her education... I refuse to have my tax dollars used this way.. my two sons have already left New York .. my home is going up for sale this spring because I cant afford it anymore.. and my family has been in New York for generations.. I can only pray that all New Yorks stand together to stop this insane spending .. instead why dont we focus on our prison system .. No white collar or nonviolent crime is to sit in a prison cell .. they can work and support themselves put themselves thru college while doing community service .. and let the other criminals work on chain gangs if necessary cleaning our highways etc ... they are Criminals .. period
How does this make any sense at all!?!?!?!? I am a veteran of the Untied States Army and I had to fight and risk limb and life for my tuition to be paid for! You're telling me all I had tpo do was continuously break the law, end up in Prison and my college would have been paid for? Eff out of here Cuomo. Get your act together!!! This is an election year and soon you Sir (with poor decisions such as this) will soon be out of office! I am of legal age to vote and so are the 300 of my New York friends and family who believe that this is just a travesty! Foolishness!
